I am currently considering migrating from Eudora 7.0 to Outlook 2007 because Eudora is no longer supported and I am concerned about restoring all emails from Eudora. I considered changing over to the new and advanced Outlook where I can have my email more tightly integrated with my calendar, to-do-list etc. So, my questions are:
Yes, there is manual method available to convert Eudora MBX emails into Outlook format, but manual method is quite time taking process.
Step 1 - Open Microsoft Outlook
Open MS Outlook, and go to Outlook file option>> click Import and Export button
Step 2 - Select Action to Perform
Next, you need to select Import Internet Mail and Address option >> Next
Step 3 - Select Application to Import from
Now select Internet application to import emails from like Eudora (pro and Light) 2.x, 3.x, 4.x etc. Now tick on Import Mail option and if you want to import Eudora Address as well then also thick on Import Address Book option >> Next button
Step 4 - Finish
After selecting the Import Mail option, Import Addresses windows will be appear, select “Allow duplicates to be created” than finish.
NOTE : This manual process can convert Eudora emails into MS Outlook format but there is no guaranty that all emails will be save with the original formatting and it also takes so much time and import folder by folder separately and there is lot of data loss possibility. The most important thing, both applications Eudora and Outlook must be installed in same machine otherwise you wouldn’t be able to perform the manual process to convert Eudora emails into Outlook.
If you don’t want to follow above lengthy method, you can use simple and alternative method of SoftSpire Eudora Converter which is very simple and quick way to convert Eudora MBX files to Outlook.
SoftSpire Eudora Converter is Windows based software application that successfully runs of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, etc. and safely convert Eudora emails to Outlook.
